Pick the closest project shape, not every tiny detail. This first choice tells the estimator whether the baseline looks more like a marketing site, a logged-in product, a booking flow, or a mobile build.
Example: a local-service website with pages, forms, and a credibility refresh is a small-business website, while a logged-in tool that helps staff manage work is an internal tool.
Project type
Pick the closest fit. The goal is not a perfect label. The goal is to choose the project shape that most closely matches what version one really needs to do.
It is for small custom websites, web apps, and mobile apps. Large enterprise platforms, full ERPs, and big legacy modernizations are deliberately out of scope.
If you can launch something smaller and learn faster, the number drops quickly. That is a feature, not a weakness.
